Scholarship: Vision 2012 - Learning Communities Scholarship
Amount:
$1,000 per year Renewable
Award details: Students looking for a unique learning opportunity and environment and who have a strong desire to develop skills required for future success; Leadership, Work Ethic, Life Skills, and Citizenship, are invited to apply for this scholarship. Students, who are awarded the scholarship, will become part of a learning community, and participate with their peers in an intensive, multi-faceted two year experience, rarely available to community college students.

Criteria: A minimum 2.5 cumulative high school GPA; ACT or SAT scores or Accuplacer test scores that demonstrate preparedness for college-level course work. Scholarship: Vice-President's Scholarship
Amount: $2,000 per year Renewable
Award details: First-time Freshman, full-time attendance, degree-seeking with minimum 3.4 GPA. Renewable for the 2nd year based on 24 credits with minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA

Amount: Up to $10,000
Award details: DigiPen will offer a limited number of scholarships in amounts of up to $10,000 to incoming students who demonstrate considerable financial need. Students must complete a 2012-2013 FAFSA application (www.fafsa.ed.gov) in addition to the scholarship application to be considered.

Scholarship: 2012 – 2013 ART SCHOLARSHIP
Amount: Up to $10,000
Award details: DigiPen will offer a limited number of scholarships in amounts of up to $10,000 to incoming students who demonstrate considerable artistic talent. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete the scholarship application and submit three drawings of real life scenarios with video game overtones.

Scholarship: Wesleyan Presidential Scholarships
Amount: Full tuition.
Award details: The Wesleyan Presidential Scholarship is awarded to two first-year students who have achieved outstanding academic success.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens.  The Wesleyan Presidential Scholarship recognizes students that have demonstrated leadership in school, church or community.  Awards are renewable for a maximum of three additional years by maintaining a 3.25 CGPA and full-time status.  Wesleyan Presidential Scholarships cannot be combined with any other Iowa Wesleyan College institutional awards.  Candidates must participate in an on-campus interview during one of the February Scholarship Day competitions.  

Minimum Qualifications: 3.75 CGPA, 26 ACT, rank in the top 10% of your class (must meet two of three)

Scholarship: Iowa Wesleyan Pioneer Scholarship
Amount: $4,000 per year/$16,000 over four years
Award details: The Iowa Wesleyan Pioneer Scholarship recognizes first-year students with high scholastic achievement in high school and demonstrated leadership in their school or community.  Awards are renewable for a maximum of three additional years by maintaining a 2.5 CGPA or better and full-time status.  The Iowa Wesleyan Pioneer Scholarship can be combined with your academic merit scholarship.  Candidates must participate in an on-campus interview during one of the February or March Scholarship Day competitions.  

Minimum Qualifications: 3.25 CGPA, 24 ACT or top 25% of your class (must meet two of three)

Scholarship: Wesleyan Honor Scholarship
Amount: $3,000 per year/$12,000 over four years
Award details: The Wesleyan Honor Scholarship is rewards first-year students who have proven solid academic achievement in high school.  Awards are renewable by maintaining a 2.0 CGPA or better and full-time status.  The Wesleyan Honor Scholarship can be combined with your academic merit scholarship. Candidates must participate in an on-campus interview during one of the February or March Scholarship Day competitions.

Scholarship: Dean’s Scholarship
Amount: $2,000 per year/$8,000 over four years
Award details: The Dean’s Scholarship rewards first-year students who demonstrate promising academic excellence. Awards are renewable by maintaining a 2.0 CGPA or better and full-time status.  The Dean’s Scholarship can be combined with your academic merit scholarship. Candidates must participate in an on-campus interview during one of the February or March Scholarship Day competitions.

Scholarship:  Nebraska Wesleyan University Academic Scholarship
Amount: Starting at $7,000 up to $12,500
Award details:  Eligibility starts with an ACT Composite score of 22 and a high school GPA of 3.00.  No separate application; only need to apply for admission.

Scholarship:  Talent Scholarships in Art, Music, and Theatre

Scholarship: Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship

Award details:The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is a renewable four-year academic award valuing in $3,000 per year that combines with other merit-based scholarships previously awarded by the University. All MLK Scholars will receive a minimum total award of $13,000 (merit-based scholarship + MLK scholarship). The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is granted to students who are committed to the promotion of diversity in our society and who demonstrate leadership in the classroom, on campus and in the greater community.  Students must qualify by ranking in the upper one-third of the their high school class, an above average ACT or SAT test score, and a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, weighted or unweighted, as reported on the student's high school transcript at the time of application

Scholarship: Presidential Scholarship

Award details: The Presidential Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition award, the recipients of which represent some of the most exemplary student leaders on Saint Louis University's campus.  In order to qualify, you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.85 or higher, weighted or unweighted, as reported on the students high school transcript at the close of junior year, an official test score of at least 30 on the ACT or 1330 (math and critical reading) on the SAT, and an outstanding academic record.

Award details:  Program offers academic and need-based scholarships. Scholarship is automatically renewed for up to three additional semesters if renewal criteria are met. Deadline to apply is November 1 (Spring) and April 1 (Fall).

Scholarship: SCC Foundation General Scholarship
Amount: Up to $1,000 for tuition, fees, and/or books
Award details: Must have cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and less than 72 credit hours.  Scholarship is renewable for one additional semester if student continues to meet scholarship criteria.  Deadline to apply is April 1.

Scholarship: Competitive Undergraduate Scholarship
Amount: Waiver of out of state tuition (present value is $9,384 per year)               
Award Details:  Student must have either:  High School GPA 3.0 with 23 composite ACT or 1070 SAT (Critical Reading and Math), or High School GPA 3.5 with 20 composite ACT or 950 SAT (Critical Reading and Math), or College transfer with 3.5 GPA. A $200 deposit is required to hold the scholarship and is applied at registration toward the resident tuition at the rate of $100 per semester. Current resident tuition and fees is $2,027 per semester or $4,054 per academic year. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years if a minimum of 24 credits are earned each year with a minimum GPA of 3.00.

Scholarship:  Outstanding Undergraduate Academic Transfer Scholarship
Amount: $300 per semester         
Award Details:  Scholarship is awarded to transfer students on a first come-first served basis and who meet the following criteria: Transfer in a minimum of 30 transferable credit hours from a regionally accredited institution(s) Have achieved a cumulative transfer GPA of at least a 3.25 Register AND complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (24 credit hours annually) with a minimum GPA of 3.00 at WNMU while receiving the award

Scholarship: Western Undergraduate Exchange Waiver
Amount: Student is charged 1½ times the resident tuition rate which is currently $2,789 per semester or $5,578 per year (an annual savings of  $7,860).
Award Details:  Awards are limited to undergraduate students from the 14 western-most states consisting of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho,Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Students must have graduated from an accredited high school with a minimum GPA of 2.00 or successfully completed the GED. A current driver’s license from the student’s home state. The waiver is renewable for up to four years as long as the student maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 with WNMU and successfully completes 24 credit hours for each academic year the waiver is awarded.
