Merit and Music Scholarships- These scholarships range from $6,000 to $21,000 and are based on a combination of high school grade point average and curriculum in English, mathematics, laboratory science, social science and foreign language courses and composite ACT or SAT scores. We may also consider a student's essay, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities and music audition (for music majors only).
Enrichment Scholarship- This scholarship has a value of one third tuition ($10,000 for 2011-2012)*. These scholarships are offered to freshmen and transfer students who are members of traditionally underrepresented groups at Elmhurst. The scholarship is not limited by race or ethnicity. The scholarship is renewable with the maintenance of a 2.50 grade point average and full time enrollment. To be considered for an enrichment scholarship, apply for admission to Elmhurst College.
United Church of Christ Scholarship- This scholarship has a value of one third tuition ($10,000 for the 2011-2012)*. These scholarships are offered to freshmen and transfer students who are members of congregations of the United Church of Christ. Additional requirements Applicants must complete the FAFSA and meet financial aid deadlines each year to be awarded the scholarship. Deposits must be made by May 1. Applicants who fail to complete leadership projects may not be awarded the scholarship in subsequent years. Presidential Scholars must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. If the GPA is lower than 3.0 for two consecutive semesters, the student’s scholarship will be eliminated. However, if the student raises the GPA to the accepted level, the scholarship may be restored.
