Gannon University offers an education experience that empowers you to develop your knowledge with purpose. Through the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences; the College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences; and the College of Engineering and Business, Gannon offers over 60 undergraduate degrees, most of which offer hands on learning experiences outside of the classroom.

Facilities and Resources

All three academic colleges offer opportunities to conduct research alongside your professors, such as a NASA-sponsored project to livestream video of the solar eclipse, or the study of diverse ecosystems at the new Alstadt Environmental Center or aboard the 48-foot research vessel, Environaut, on Lake Erie. Our exceptional learning environments are equipped with the same technology you will use as your career advances, a great way to achieve success.

Athletics / Sports

Gannon University is a Division II athletic institution offering the following sports teams: women’s acrobatics and tumbling, baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, co-ed competitive cheer, men’s and women’s cross country, football, men’s and women’s golf, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s water polo, wrestling. As a Division II institution, athletics scholarships are available at the discretion of the head coach of the respective teams. During the spring 2017 semester, Gannon’s 521 student-athletes produced an overall 3.26 grade point average.

Financial Aid / Tuition

All students who are admitted to Gannon University qualify for merit scholarships ranging from $8,000-$19,000 annually. Up to the top 10% of admitted students by December 15 of their senior year will be invited to participate in a full-tuition competition. Students may earn additional scholarships through athletics, Open House competitions, Schuster Awards and outside scholarships. In addition to federal and state funds that students may qualify for, Gannon also offers generous need-based awards as well.

Admission

Admission to Gannon University is program specific, with some academic programs requiring higher GPA’s and test scores than others. Student may be admitted directly into their academic program of choice if they academically qualify. Several health profession programs have limited seating, including: physician assistant, occupational therapy, nursing, respiratory care and radiologic science. In addition, Gannon offers several pre-professional partnership programs that allows for a student to be admitted to Gannon and conditionally admitted to a professional school directly out of high school. The physician assistant program has a December 1 application deadline.

Other Cool Facts

For the 2017 solar eclipse, Gannon University was one of 55 colleges and universities nationwide chosen by NASA to launch a high-altitude balloon that was fitted with equipment to livestream video of the eclipse.

Incoming Fall 2018 freshman class at Gannon was the largest in nearly 30 years.
