Tips for transferring students

Make sure that you are on track to graduate and that you are planning the right moves. They’ll give you a fresh perspective on your choices and goals.  

Finishing your prerequisites will ensure that you stay on track to graduate. Once they are done you will be able to move on to classes that will cover subject matter you’re more interested in.  

Let them know that you are new to the school and that you are interested in their classes. They will respect you for the effort, and it never hurts to network. 

It’s a new school, so you get a new start. Don’t feel stuck to any old habits or problems from your past school. 

Don’t be afraid to get involved or start a conversation. Meeting new people will help you adapt to the new setting.
