Located in Southfield, Michigan, Lawrence Tech offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs in Colleges of Architecture and Design, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and Management—all featuring exceptional exposure to theory and practice. Many degrees and “fast-track” certificates are in emerging fields such as robotics, defense, alternative energy, and the life sciences.
The University offers small class sizes, with lectures, classes, and labs taught by faculty with current industry experience. Courses are available days, evenings, weekends, and online. Lawrence Tech’s LTU Online program has been ranked among America’s best by U.S. News & World Report.
More than 60 student clubs and organizations, including a pep band, dance team, fraternities, sororities, honor societies, and student chapters of professional groups, are active on our 102-acre campus.
LTU’s dynamic athletic program features National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, lacrosse, cross country, and bowling, as well as women’s volleyball and men’s ACHA ice hockey.
Intramural leagues include badminton, basketball, billiards, dodgeball, flag football, golf, racquetball, soccer, softball, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, and wallyball. Mixed martial arts, lacrosse, and the Blue Devil Bike Club are also available to club sports enthusiasts.
The Don Ridler Field House, with its fitness track, gymnasium, racquetball courts, saunas, and game, weight, and conditioning rooms, is available to all students.
Facilities and Resources
The University has two residence halls, featuring one- and two-bedroom apartment-style suites. A third hall is in the planning stages. All utilities, wireless Internet access, basic cable TV, and individual phone lines with voicemail are included.

Students use such advanced facilities as the Center for Innovative Materials Research; architectural and design studios; a 4 x 4 chassis dynamometer; specialized labs for alternative energy, robotics, biomedical research, and graphics; a wind tunnel; wood, metal, and model shops; a structural testing center; and much more.
