Scholarship: Alumni Scholarship
Amount:  $1,000
When an alumnus/a refers a student to HPU who has not already applied, the referred student will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship in the name of the alumnus/a. Student must attend HPU as a full-time student.

Scholarship: Scholarships for High School Seniors in Hawaii
Amount: Varies
These selective and limited tuition waiver scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who are high school graduates in Hawai'i. Information provided on the Admission application along with the high school transcript will determine the criteria and eligibility of the scholarship. Scholarship is renewable for up to three (3) years.

Scholarship: Hawai’I High School Writing Awards Competition
Amount: Varies
Statewide writing competition for juniors and seniors attending public and private high schools in Hawai'i. The subjects for competition are political, economic, or social development that has had a significant impact on the history of Hawai'i and its relevance towards understanding the complexity of life in our state today. Student-submitted essays must be typed and double spaced with a maximum of five (5) pages. The essays will be judged on originality, analysis, vocabulary and syntax, expressiveness, and the student's ability to defend his/her thesis.

Scholarship: Scholarship for U.S. Mainland High School Seniors
Amount: Varies
These selective and limited tuition waiver scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who are high school graduates from the U.S. mainland. Information provided on the Admission application along with the high school transcript will determine the criteria and eligibility of the scholarship. Scholarship is renewable for up to three (3) years.

Scholarship: Scholarships for Transfer Students
Amount: Varies
These selective and limited tuition waiver scholarships are available to incoming transfer students (currently not enrolled at HPU). Information provided on the Admission application along with the college transcript(s) will determine the criteria and eligibility of the scholarship. Scholarship is renewable for up to two (2) years.

Scholarship: Scholarships fo Students from Pacific Regions
Amount: Up to $2,000 to each recipient
This scholarship is given in memory of University alumna Diana Lockwood who was the founder of the Pacific Islands Institute. It is awarded to undergraduate or graduate students from the following Pacific regions: Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, New Caledonia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Rapa Nui, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu.  The recipients are expected to return to their home country upon completion of their studies and apply what they have learned within their communities. Preference is given to those who demonstrate financial need.

6 Scholarships available: HPU Holomua Scholarship, Scholarship to study Tropical Ecology and Global Sustainability, College of Business Administration Scholarship in Economics or Finance, Elisabeth Kehrer Anderson, M.D. - Internship Field Study Award, MerryAnn Jancovic Award in Psychology, and Sukamto Foundation Scholarship.

Scholarship: Scholarships and Awards for continiuing students

Hawai'i Pacific University has twenty-one (21) scholarships and awards to offer students that completed at least two semesters as a full-time student.  These scholarships and awards are provided by the generosity of donors throughout the community. Scholarships are offered as tuition-waivers and may be used in combination with other HPU scholarships being offered through the University.

Numerous VA benefits and scholarships are available to students who attend HPU's Military Campus Programs.

This scholarship program recognizes outstanding Undergraduate and Graduate International students who have the potential to become leaders in their respective communities.

Hawai'i Pacific University offers several types of graduate scholarships to new, full-time, degree-seeking students. U.S. citizens, permanent residents and international students who have a demonstrated financial need may apply.

Major Scholarships from Private Organizations include: The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, Gates Millennium Scholars Program, Hawaii Community Foundation, Hawaii Education Association, Kamehameha Schools Post-High Scholarship, Nursing Scholarship Program, Sallie Mae Fund, and SMART Scholarship Program.

Scholarship: Excellence in Undergraduate Writing Awards
Amount: Four $500 Awards
The Excellence in Undergraduate Writing Awards recognizes outstanding written assignments. The University is offering cash awards for papers written from the following four (4) categories.  

 Category I:  English and Humanities
 Category II:  Social Sciences
 Category III: Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Nursing
 Category IV: Business, Computer Science, and Law

Scholarship: Athletic Scholarships

These tuition waiver scholarships are based on demonstrated Athletic abilities required by each sport and are awarded to new, incoming students.

Scholarship: Band and Orchestra Scholarships
Amount: Varies
These tuition waiver scholarships are based on demonstrated band and orchestra skills and are awarded to new, incoming students.

Scholarship: Cheer and Dance Scholarships
Amount: varies
Tryouts are  held to determine which students are eligible for the team. Scholarship amounts may vary.

Scholarship: International Vocal Ensemble Scholarships
Amount: Varies
These tuition waiver scholarships are based on demonstrated vocal performance skills and are awarded to new, incoming students.

Scholarship: Scholarship for Recent High School Graduates
Amount: $2,000
Award details: Sessions College will provide two Graphic Design degree program students and two Web Design degree program students with $2,000 each toward their tuition.  

Scholarship: Active-Duty Servicemember Scholarship
Amount: $2,000
Award details: Sessions College will provide one Graphic Design degree program student and one Web Design degree program student that are also active U.S. military service members with $2,000 each toward their tuition.
