Next you need to arrange some college visits.  Call the colleges and ask about dates that you can come to check out what they have to offer.  In the meantime, apply for as many scholarships as you possibly can.  This site has some nice scholarship tips:  http://www.how2winscholarships.com.

Good luck!!

Usually just go onto the websites of the colleges that interest you and look around on their website. If you want to apply to that college they usually have the admissions easy to find. It may look complicated but it is not that hard to do. That is all there is to it.

Visit your high school counselor! They have ALL the info you need. My school has a checklist on it's website posted by the Senior counselors.

Have you gotten a list of local scholarships from your high school guidance counselor? Local scholarships are the easiest to win because only students from your high school apply for them. Also, go to the library and check out the big scholarship listing books. They come out with new versions each year. The scholarships are organized by your intended college major, interests, race, club affiliation, etc.... You can go to the medical section and apply for all those scholarships.

You can also try the school you are attending/ planning on attending. They offer scholarships also, not just loans. Join programs at school that help you financially. Those Work!!!!!!

For the beginning questions, you should be able to answer. Is there something in particular you don't understand or don't know how to do? First, be sure you know the deadline to send in the application. You should send in your application before or by that deadline, depending on what the school says. A lot of schools require you to send a check along for the admissions fee, so check that out to see how much you're going to have to send to the school. Some schools may require you to ask for a teacher's recommendation. It depends on what school it is. Some schools will want none, one, or two. So depending on the number, ask some of the teachers that really got to know you and seen you work, and give them about two weeks to write you one. The colleges might also require you to give the teacher an envelope  and stamp of the school's address or the teacher can provide the envelope and stamp, but might want the school's address to send it. Some schools will also ask you to write an essay or more. Just try to write a good essay.

While you're doing this, you should do what some of the other people have said before me, like college visits to make sure you really like the environment and apply for scholarships. Best of luck to you!
