I have a suggestion for you maybe it might be a good idea if you added like a chat room so everyone could talk and get to know every one so people don't feel like there talking to complete strangers or the computer you know what I mean. then we wouldn't feel weird leaving things for other people to read.[:D][8D] I like smileys LOL sry I couldn't resist LOL

FULLY AGREE!!!

The forums are really nice, but chat rooms would be a lot easier for pm's....
It's hard to tell whether or not you have one, and its hard to get to them....

I think because there are alot of teen parents out here who are not giving up on life and trying to make something out of themselves that the site should give them something to relate to. Or tips that can help them make it in the world. Being a teen mother isn't even and when we go looking for help on websites like these and find nothing that can aleast somewhat relate to all kinds of stituation other than the kid with no responsiblities who will be graduating and most likely parent will pay for college it makes us feel discriminated against in a way. So I think it would be something really good to think about. I personally feel the website is limited to peolpe but at the same time I appreciate what it does for people. Thank you

I think it would be a great idea to focus on the "Freshman Year Experience" ... and more specifically the first 40 days of the freshman year!

Are students and their parents ready for the "Perfect Storm" known as the freshman year in college? The Department of Education has shown that more that 1/3 of all new freshman will drop out before making it to their sophomore year and fewer than half of all new freshman will graduate from college.

We have a problem, one that these fledgling adults are not prepared for ... one that parents are not prepared for!

My name is Nick Herberger and I am an Author - Speaker - and Life Coach who has dedicated my life to helping people through 2 CRUCIAL transitions: 1. the transition into college; and, 2. the transition out of college.

In my new book "The Freshman 40: everything you need to know about your first 40 days in college" I give students and parents the tools they need to successfully weather this "Perfect Storm". I am not trying to promote my book, but I am trying to promote a focus on these first 40 days of college. If we can provide information about what to expect and how to weather the storm, we will be providing a HUGE service to students, parents, and acadamia in general! Perhaps a series focusing on this transition online or in your magazine would be a great start. Furthermore, I know that your focus is not on parents necessarily, but I believe that parents are not understanding what is going on in this transition and how they can walk alongside their kids during this time.

There is a storm that is brewing -- not one to be nervous about, one to be EXCITED about -- THE FRESHMAN 40. I would be happy to send a copy of my book and be a resource to NextStep. For more info on me, please check out www.LiveYourJourney.com.

Thank you for all you do!
