[8|] I am currently taking a online course to become a medical billing and coding specialist. Is there anyone out there who has done this or know someone who has? If so, I'd like to hear from you. I want to know what to expect. My main goal in it, is to work from home because I am a stay at home Mom. [:)] If anyone has any info, please reply. Thanks a bunch!!

hi,
I'm also looking to get into the medical billing and coding. I've looked into so many schools but I still haven't picked any online schools. I'm also a stay home mom and have the same goals as you. Could you tell me which online school you are taking? Thank you. Sorry I couldn't help you more as I am looking for help myself. I also emailed you but I wanted to post a reply. Sorry about that!

Hello,
In regards to the info you are seeking, I'm taking an online course through Penn Foster Career School. The website is PennFoster.edu or call 1-888-427-1000. I've only been doing this for about 6 weeks, but so far I'm very satisfied. It's reasonably priced and I've had no problems contacting the school via email. Good luck. Let me know if you sign up. I am also in Penn foster online school but not for Medical Billing and Coding but for Medical Transcription, I have been doing it for about a year and will be receiving a certificate within a month. Penn Foster is a great school and the online courses are good too. Just remember not to put too much into them and use the resources that they offer. I am not a young student, I am 45 years old and if I can do this, anyone can. I highly recommend Penn Foster Career school and if you do choose it I wish you the best of luck. [8|]

Thank you for your responses. I'm still searching for what school to go to. I've looked into so many school that I've made myself tired. I didn't hear alot of good things about Penn Foster so I'm not sure about that school. But I'm also looking into Medical Transcription and the school that I am thinking of is Career Step. I've heard alot of good things about the school. Anyways, I would like to make a decision soon.
