The 6th grade was a huge turning point in my life. I had always had a problem
with reading and compression. And in the 3rd grade I was taken out of my public school right
before the FCAT. Then taken to a private school. In the school I was going to a skills
program for student that they were put in to a separate class with a teacher that would take time
on working with each student it was like an ESC class. And I had been in ESC classes since 3rd
grade. After many years of 3 different tutors a week, in 6th grade I was finally put into a regular
class that gave more work and it wasn’t a class of 8.

In the regulars class I was challenge in the other class I had straight A’s but in the
regulars class I was much more challenged with work. After middle school I came to Miami
Christian School and I was in the regular’s class. I heard about the program and I had set a goal
in the beginning of my freshmen year that I would get in to the honors program. You could even
ask my friend every year before this one I would say I’m going to try to get into honors.

And one day I get a call from Mr. Gentry and he said I had a high enough GPA to get into
honors. Now it a bigger challenge with AP history but I think I’ll do fine especially with all I’ve
gone through. Now I’m in honors probation and I have a 3.5 and need a 3.6 so I’m going to try to
try harder and I have confidence I will succeed.
