INT. HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM
A WOMAN in her 50's sitting in a hospital waiting room clutching a sonogram. with a Coffee in her other hand.
A nurse rushes into the delivery room catching the attention of the woman.
The Woman approaches nurses desk.
WOMAN:
THIS IS RIDICULOUS WHY CAN'T I BE IN THE DELIVERY ROOM TO SEE MY GRANDCHILD!
NURSE:
I'M SORRY MA'AM YOU'LL HAVE TO SIT IN THE WAITING ROOM THE DOCTOR IS NOT ALLOWING ANYONE IN.
The DOCTOR enters the waiting room with a concerned look on his face.
The Woman shoots up from her seat after seeing the Doctor approach.
WOMAN:
Where is my Grandchild? Is he healthy?
Doctor:
Yes Ma'am please calm down.You have a beautiful 8 pound seven ounce grandson.
The doctor takes the woman to the nursery window.
Int. Hospital-nursery window
The Woman stares at the infant with a look of total happiness and satisfaction as her eyes water.
The Woman sits down slowly while the doctor stays standing.
WOMAN:
He's... He's perfect. When can my daughter and I take my Grandson home.
The Doctors face now turns from concerned to deeply sad.
THE CAMERA KEEPS A MEDIUM SHOT ON THE WOMAN'S FACE AND FREQUENTLY CUTS TO THE DOCTORS FACE DESCRIBING THE SITUATION.WHILE SAD SLOW MUSIC PLAYS LOUDLY OVER THE DIALOGUE.
The Woman packs her Grandchild into a stroller and slowly leaves the hospital. The woman gets into the elevator and turns to face the closing doors.
Int. Hospital-Elevator
AS THE DOORS CLOSE THE CAMERA ZOOMS IN ON THE WOMAN'S HAND CLENCHING A PICTURE OF HER DAUGHTER.THE DOORS CLOSE AND FADE OUT TO CREDITS.
