I decided I wanted to go to college because I wasn’t happy with the direction of my life. I discovered that obtaining a stable job was difficult because I didn’t have the proper educational background. I didn’t finish high school nor did I have a GED. Therefore, I decided last year I needed to take charge of my life and do something to make my life better. I started taking GED classes and by February of this year, I was ready to take the GED test. When I found out that I had passed the GED test, I was ecstatic. I finally accomplished a major goal of mine and was ready for the next step, college.
I love computers and knew that’s what I wanted to study in college. I started research on different types of computer classes and found the perfect class for me, computer network systems. I was excited when I read the description on computer network systems because it was exactly what I had envisioned. My primary goal in pursuing college is to help companies install, upgrade, and maintain their computer network systems.
In closing, winning this scholarship would help me receive the proper education I need to complete my goals.
