When my mom was two her mother was killed in a car wreck. So, her grandmother ended up adopting her and her brother, this gave my family a cool twist. I have five Uncles (four of which are biologically my great-uncles) and 1 aunt (great-aunt.). I never realized how odd that was till a few years ago. My cousin Tiff is my closest friend. She is just like me in almost every way personality wise. Her dad, my (Great-)Uncle Joe, is my hero. About six years ago he had a very severe stroke. He couldn't use the right side of his body, he couldn't talk, and wasn't expected to live. They even asked his wife if she wanted to "pull the plug". We are a Christian family. So we left it to God. Praayed constantly. Soon he was rresponsive and talking. He being a severe diabetic, helped nothing. a couple years later when all seemed to be going well he got an infection in his right leg and had it ambutated below the knee. Since then he his diabetes has made his life miserable. His Kidneys have failed several times. He's going blind. He's never been able to regain use of his right arm, and he was right handed. He's practically lived in the hospital with more problems then I even know about. More than once has he come so close to dying. Even with all this he refuses to give up. He trusts God for everything. Yes, he has days of depression since he is bed bound now and unable to do things with his only child, his little girl, even so, he praises God ever chance. Defying the doctors diagnosis he sings in church, when he gets to go, and he has NEVER blamed God. My Uncle Joe is my hero. I hope and pray to one day have his faith and love for God. I don't have the words for how proud I am to be related, let alone know him. I'm thankful and I love my hero, very very much
