Autumn[/i]
It’s that time of the year again. Leaves start to change into luminous colors and fall off the branches of the trees. Cheering fans fill the bleachers with their spirit during the games. And the air slowly turns frigid as we make our way to school. It’s autumn and numerous things end while many begin. We are left with the memories of summer and feel the anticipation of school.
Fall reminds me of the times I prepped myself with school spirit for the football games. It also takes me back to my first Homecoming Dance. Girls wait as the boys sweat it out. Panic of not finding the perfect dress in time permeates our thoughts. As I reminisce about autumn, nostalgia comes over me.
This season is a time of bringing families together and reuniting friends. It’s a time of thanksgiving and being grateful for what you have. We may not appreciate everything, but this time of year reminds us of how lucky we are. As the summer fades and school starts, a world full of opportunities opens up. We think of autumn as a stressful time of year, but while doors may close, many will open.
