I have found my self in a terrible situation! I am a student with not good credit and i need a large loan for my college. I cannot attend because of this financial situation. My mother has poor credit and has tried countless times to apply and all have been denied. I have tried on my own with no success.I have no other family support so I have not been able to have a cosigner. This past summer i wrote hundreds of essays for schloarships and did not recieve any of them. At this point i dont know what to do or where to turn! [:(] I am a resident of rochester ny and I have tried to get grants with out any luck. My school is in queens ny and i have no clue how i am going to work this out. Any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!!!! I really appreciate it

okay, okay calm down first, nobody can think straight when one person is freaking out, what I have found out is that if you go to Kays and buy jewelery it will help you establish credit, and if you make your payments in time for your car or other bills, to help with the scholarships if you get a letter of reconmendation from your highschool teachers then it might help but I don't know very much about it.
So...we are all told in this world that we are on our own,....let me tell you something.....we're not alone....not anymore...we have each other.....

Definately, calm down first. If there is no way to get a loan now, then maybe this is a sign you need to wait a while. And, when you write an essay for a scholarship, really work on it. Proof it again and again. Write and rewrite. This will also give you more success. There are a lot of other essays going to the same place, so try to grab the readers with the first paragraph. If possible, make yours unique. And--Good luck!
