I'm a sophmore at West Orange Hish school in Winter Garden Florida. And in my Freshman year I thought it would be a snap just a few tests here and there. While I take a nap the rest of the time. But I was prove so wrong! High school isn't just a game or something you can blow off, it's a way of growing up and earning what you want in life.
See I was the kid who'd sit in the back of the room telling everyone jokes and sleeping during videos, but guess what I didn't make to great of grades. I thought it really didn't matter since it was only 9th grade. I could just slide right on by with the D's and C's I was making. But when I meet with an AVID(Advanced via independet development) teacher Mrs. Gilson she told me that colleges look at your transcripts from 9th to 12th grades. And I got the biggest news flash.......but to bad I waited so long to ask, cause it was to late it had been more then 3/4's of the way through the year. So I learned that goofing off in 9th grade or even anytime in high school wasn't smart but you've got to learn something sometimes. But that doesn't mean to go ahead and blow it off just try your best and it'll all workout fine.
Also I'm the youngest in my family too. So I've learned from there mistakes. And I've learned somewhat what college is really about. And it's no joy ride at Disney I can tell you that much. My older Brother Warren is a Freshman in college and he comes home with homewrok coming out his ears! Or tests that are 300 questions long to study for! So I just know that college isn't going to be easy but hey I'm ready to tak on that challenge and do whatever it takes to reach my goals!
