Everyone claims that junior year is the toughest year of high school, and I am begining to agree. I've just completed my first set of mid-terms and the results weren't quite what I had opted for. I can't seem to stay focused. It just feels as if there are a million other things I could be doing rather than reviewing notes for my fast-approaching AP American History test. I have my license now, homecoming week is right around the corner, and basketball season is on the rise. Between practices and club meetings, not to mention work and social time, I am struggling to find time to study, and my grades are reflective of this. What I am in desperate need of is a serious priority check. Rather than watching my favorite TV show or going out for sushi with my friends, I should be working ahead on my Chemistry homework and looking over problems that I got wrong on my last Advanced Math test. Easier said than done, of course, but I know that the results that will come from this new plan will benefit me and, eventually, my future. So, with the beginning of the second quarter of my junior year comes a fresh start. I plan to study more, goof-off less, and gain the results that I knew I could acheive all along. I'm a new student, revamped and ready for any challenge headed my way- even pages upon pages of irregular Spanish verbs, which I plan to get started on at this very moment.
