Going into highschool in the small town of Fountain Colorado, I had what most freshmans were terrified of not ever getting. My best friend Alexa and I were inseperable. My newley found boyfriend was more than anyone could ask for, and my popular older brother was always watching out for me. Everything was great. The summer was fading and I didn't know it then, but so was my fairy tale year. As fall snuck up on me, me and alexa fell apart. She was beginning to hangout with different people and it seemed like the only time I even talked to her was when she had a problem. My boyfriend and I were still going strong but things just didn't feel the same. Fall was here and soon ending. Alexa and I were no longer friends. Little smiles here and there were exchanged just as the brittle leaves fell off the bare trees. Then came the start of winter. The first snow day we had been given in awhile was just like the storys your grandpa reads to you when your little and anticipating Christmas. I of course, went to my boyfriends house and snuggled up next to him using the exuse of being cold just to get a little closer. This was probably the highlight of my fall/winter season. As the day passed I came back to reality and faced the day of school I dreaded. The routine was the same and so was the season. As the winter came more and more out of not only mother nature but people, feelings were hurt, and others were joyus because of the frosty air that was surrounding us. As I sit here, in this winter wonderland, frostbite, of a season I patiently wait for the days of summer to come once again. For I personaly have learned life is unpredictable, like Colorado weather, like all seasons, and like seasons, people. This is just how life works and I wouldn't have it any other way.
