"Sorry, you can't sit here."
How many times have you heard it? Maybe to you, a friend, or even on a movie. I guess Hollywood does jazz it up a little. Making it look like something you'd want, something you'd kill to have.
The Lunch seat. Not just any lunch seat... THE Lunch seat. It's where the Barbie's & Ken's of high school sit. The cheerleading captain and the quarterback. The "Popular" kids. Everyone wants to be one, whether they admit it or not. But why is it so important? It's a chair, you could get one for ten bucks at Wal*Mart. No. Not this chair. This chair is a gateway to heaven on earth, where people want to be you. They look at you and say "She is so lucky!"
The Lunch seat. The seat where some dare to sit. Venturing into a world filled with jealousy and greed. The seat that opens the doors to hell. The seat that causes kids to kill themselves because their not thin enough, or not pretty enough.
Through all that, nobody realizes that THE seat, its the same as anyother seat. And the sad part, is that table, with all the popular kids. It means nothing. Colleges don't look at your transcript and accept you because you were one of the cool kids. Jobs won't hire you because you were the quarterback on your high school team.
It's a high. Like drugs, it only lasts for awhile. And the thing that people don't realize is that anyone can be a size 2 and throw up pizza everyday. Whether your tall, or short, or blonde, or size 8... There's nothing wrong with it. That seat, it'll still be there 10 years from now. Different kids, different day, same seat. Always make sure that if your not the Regina at lunch, you still be you. Don't conform yourself to that image, to that lunch seat. Conform yourself into what you want, into what seat you sit in NOW at lunch...
