I'am a hardworking college student that was to make great grades, but I get so stuck as to what are some good study tips for me to do a better job on my school work. I'v try to read books on how to improve my study skills and think its just best to ask some of you students being a college student what it the best study you think could help me. I would really appreciate it if you could help me

Does your college offer a class for it? I'm taking a class to improve my study skills. Even if your school doesn't offer it, a community college in the area might.

Hey
There are many ways that people study and certain things work for certain people. For example my friend Matt can only study while listening to his iPod. I cannot- I need total silence so I can concentrate. So, the things that help some, may not help all. But here's what works for me...

-No outside noise, turn off the tv, radio, cell-phone, instant messenger, etc. (try to limit all interruptions so you remain focused)
-Highlight important facts that you need to know (it reminds you what to go over again and review.
-After you are familiar with the material you are studying, grab a friend or a parent and ask them to quiz you.
-Make up a mock-test for yourself and see how well you do. This will help give you an idea on how much more stuying you need to do.
-Take a mini-break halfway through. A little snack and time to give your eyes a break can help a lot.

I hope that helps a little. Ask your friends what works for them. Remember, everyone has their own study style. Find what works for you!
