There i sat wondering when the bell was going to ring. I sat in my desk twirling my black ink pen. What a day it was ! It was homecoming week at my school and I could say that it really was very great. The hands on the clock was moving very slowly. I began to move my foot side to side. This was extreme pressure. The last period of the day. Friday is the day and I wanted to get ready for the game later on. My eyes went back to the clock and it read fifty-five minutes after one. My brain felt like it was going to explode ! Why me ?! Then my classmate Kylei sent me a note. I was very hesitant to get the note because my English teacher was strict about note passing in class. I grabbed the note while my English teacher pecked at the keyboard to the computer. As I opened the note, I saw that my classmate's handwriting still hasn't changed. At all for that matter !
" Have you gotten your things ready yet ? " Kylei wrote. I looked at her but the only thing I could see was her black and brown mane staring back at me. " No dummy ! I have all of my things at my house. Duh ! " I wrote back. I passed the note back to her and she quickly snatched it back. My teacher was still pecking away. I glanced at the clock again and the hands still haven't moved. What was I going to do ? She threw the crumbled sheet of paper back at me.
" Hey you don't have to call me names now. But for real. I don't think I will be able to go to the game tonight. I have other stuff to do if you know what I mean. :). " She wrote. I twisted my mouth. How could she just dump me like that ? That hurts. " What do you mean ? I mean how could you just leave me like this ? How am I getting home ? " I wrote back. I gave her the note and I saw her shake her head. This was really ticking me off. She rather spend her time with her boyfriend than be with me. Not that I have a problem. But come on !
The bell finally rang. I was so happy but sad at the same time. I was the first person to make it out of the door. She grabbed onto my purple bookbag. I spun around and I looked at her. " Oh come on. It's not even like that. I can ask A.J if you can ride with us. " Kylei said. I sighed and stood on the wall while students ran by us like an elphant stanpede. " Whatever. You know how I feel about him. I'll just walk home okay. I don't have time for this. " I said while walking away from her.
She didn't grab on me this time. I walked out of the overcrowded school to be prepared to walk home. Four whole miles of walking and I wasn't prepared for. Oh well. That's what I get for being friends with a person that doesn't understand other people needs.
