[:(] As a senior in high school, I plan to go to college next year....Far away...
My father doesn't seem to get that I am leaving to go to college. I was accepted to my dream college, and of course my mind is made up that THAT is the college that I am going to in the fall of this year. My father isn't really encouraging, I tell him that I am going to that college, he says the I may be going to that college, I stress that I am going to that college, he asks how am I gonna get the money to pay for it. (it's about 36000 a year)
Isn't he supposed to be happy for me and say that I can do it, that he will help in any way possible????
Now racing season has started...[:@]My father is a photographer at a few speedways (stock car racing, not horses), so of course I am oblligated to help out and give up my weekends to work for him. (I stand in a box and sell pictures)And, agian, my father doesn't seem to understand that I am leaving come august and that he is gonna have to find someone new...It doesn't help that he is a total ass during racing season (sorry for the language, but jerk is too nice for him). Everyone around him is, apparently, incompetent, he is perfect and everyone else just makes mistakes. And he has no trouble saying it.....
Is it a bad thing that I am looking foreward to college, just to get away from him????
