When I was conceived I was a one sided stomach baby, meaning I had a ball that was full of water push out on the right side of my stomach. My mother didn’t know what to do when she saw me in this condition. With the help of others orphanage was the only solution. While I was resting in my grandmother’s arm she began to sing. “What a mighty God we serve”. Rocking back and forth she would look me in my eyes and say “you will be great because God makes no mistakes”. Throughout my years of high school it was a struggle. However once I join the JAG program immediately fame came my way and burdens got heavy. Depress, guilt, abused, tormented I endure it all but yet I survive because I Push. If I would never have push myself out of that mess I would have been left for dead. JAG is a program that made a difference in my life; you don’t have to shine a light on me the see the evidence but the way I live my life is the divine purpose of what JAG is. 10th grade year I became State Delegate and State Historian for my school. 11th grade year I became President of JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduate). 12th grade year I’m currently the presiding President/ CEO also the President of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). I was chosen most popular at my school as an honor to become Mr. Creek Bridge for the current year of 2012 - 2013. This would have never happen if I didn’t dare to dream. I am capable of soaring to heights far beyond my current environment. Every day of my life still I was depressed, abused, tormented and still had so many accomplishments in JAG but that did not meant a thing. But when I learned that I must Dare to Dream depression went away, the abuse went away, being tormented stop. That is the divine purpose of what JAG is not to receive awards, not being a leader, but to realize you are not the same person you was when you leave the JAG program. Seem like war is all over the nation. If it isn’t one thing it’s another the world is going back to what is used to be like, it is up to us to change the way the world is heading.
Some students came into JAG hurt and abuse lost everything they had but look at them now restored that’s the divine purpose. What would happen if they never Dare to Dream? You too must dare to dream, above all hurt, above persecution, above fear, above the tears, above bring tempted, dare dream above the lonely nights, above the nights that you being beating because of the color of your skin, above the burns all over your body and nobody know but you, above the fights that you been in to escape the abuse that others put you in, above the sexual abuse that you put yourself in just to feel accepted, Some kids been toss from foster home to foster home dare to dream, you may lost a love one that was close to your heart but dare to dream, Some of you may be going through sexual orientation, but dare to dream. We suffered enough. Most people love to rest after a victory; we can’t rest we must keep the legacy going so people of the world can see we made it and helping others to make it. A Jewish girl name Anne Frank realizes that she too must dare to Dream during the time when Hitler had the power to change Germany from a democracy to a dictatorship. It is important because if she had not, her diary would never been a piece of history in our lives. What would have happen if Martin Luther King Jr would have never dare to dream? What would have happen if the President Barack Obama would have never dare to dream? Now let me bring it to reality what would happen if you do not dear to dream? It’s not a white thing, it’s not a black thing, but it’s a (Dare to Dream thing)
