My heart goes out to those who lost their children and loved ones in the Connecticut shooting today. Today's is not a day for the discussion of gun regulation, thou we may hear it. It is not the day for political asps, though we may see it. And today is not the day giving up, though we may feel it pulsing through our very human existence.
Today is a day of mourning, but not for the fact that we lost so many, but for the fact that among these were innocent children, teachers, and other school staff workers who lost their life with no knowledge or thinking that this might be their last day. Though it it's tremendous in depth and still an enigma to many, this event does not define us. We as humans must not let people like this brutal killer define our character. In times like this, we are known for coming together and helping another out. We reach out and feel the pain of others so that comfort may be brought to them. To the many who personally felt the pain of today, please do not lose hope, we are here for you, and will continue to be here because the unity and togetherness of man is what defines our existence.
Though not all the facts and information is out yet in the killer, we can do one thing , pray, and help those affected. Whatever the religion, whatever the creed, whatever the idea, and whatever the need, please pray for the victims and the families involved, and together we can heal, the wounded nation.
