In high school, teenages may feel like they are in love. I am an upcoming senior and have been in a two relationships during my high school career. Each year I have grown to realise, that what most grown-ups tell you, is true. It's not the end of the world when a boyfriend or girlfriend breaks up with you. It still hurts and sometimes times you feel like you won't make it through another day. Often I heard of not eating because of what the pain causes you. We all go through high school, and relationships is just apart of the process. There are things that can make it better though. Get out and reconnect with friends you've drifted away from. Being tied down for a period of time can redirect your attention to mainly just the person you are with. Make new friends, its good to surround yourself with people that you can get to know to distract yourself. Get a hobby. When me and my last boyfriend broke up, i visited my grandparents and got into something interesting, croucheting. It took alot of my mind. There's another point I'd like to make about being in a relationship. It's a serious thing and although it may not hurt you if you cheat on the other person, think of how they would feel and would that make you happy? It's a terrible thing, but accidents do happen and if it does all you can do is be honest and hope for forgiveness. Some people are uncapable of forgving though, then all you can do is find it within yourself to forgive you. Hitting a girl is never okay! No matter what guys are expected to control there anger if a girl has not initiated a fight. Girls, no matter how much you "love" them, you shouldn't stay with a guy that shows signs of being abusive or is abusive. Relationships come and go, some may be perfect. Others might be a little rough. If it is meant to be then give it time, hard work, and alot of love. If it doesn't work out, well, there's a whole world of guys out there waiting to find the one that's meant for them. Just like you are waiting to be found. So get out there and go for it. Stand up girls, fight for happiness.
