 Hi Dan,
This is interesting to me because there are many people that pray to different Gods or shrines or watever..Bt I pray to the big man upstairs it feels good to pray to him because I know sooner or later he's going to answer my prayers!..Like the scripture that say sorrow will only last a night but joy cometh in the morning!, I love that because that lets me know that my prayers are being answered!!

I pray to my Lord Jesus because He was the one that died so that I don't have to suffer for my sins but instead be forgiven. Jesus not only died but He also came alive after three days and for that I know that He has the most unconditional love that man has not capability to do.
Jesus love you,
Lydia

"More tears are shed over answered prayers than unanswered ones.”---St. Teresa of Avila

I of course have nothing against prayer, I just thought it was an interesting and thought provoking quote from the beginning of a book i read.

Hi Dan! My name is Bella. I am Wiccan and I pray to the Goddess and the God. There are many different gods and goddesses in my religion. I pray to them because that's what I believe in and it's a religion that works for me personally. I am not saying how you pray is wrong. (please don't think that)I am very open minded to what other people believe :)

I pray to the One and Only God, Who sent His Son down here to die for us, so we could go be with Him in Heaven someday. :)

Thanks: 1 times
Hello there Dan:)
I am also a new member, Jessika Lynn:D I'm Baptist-Christian and I pray to God/Jesus/Jehova or whatever you wish to call him. The reason I pray to him is not to earn something, but merely just to talk because it's nice to have a conversation with someone (especially in hard times) knowing that the other person completely understands and doesn't at all judge. He was a man of everyday life being ridiculed, persecuted and judged himself continuously, so its nice to have a non-bias perspective:) Praying makes me feel more empowered to continue on in my originality and flaunt the power of Jesus' name:) Sometimes it makes me feel a bit lowly and incomprehensive to the many things Jesus has been through: all for a mere person like me, but with that, I find my self confidence and reassurance in Christ!:) To me, what Jesus&I have isn't a religion, but a relationship founded on glorious deeds he commited to set me free of sin:)Sorry for the "story"!;)
 -God Bless

Hi Dan,
I pray to God. I pray to him because he is the one and only God who can control everything. Like Jessika I have a relationship with Jesus and God.

Like several above, I pray to the ONE TRUE GOD. I'm not going to pray to some statue, or saint.
I am *yes* one of those "Jesus Freaks" you were warned about.
I am narrow-minded.
Jesus is
the way
the truth
the life.

Who's with me?

I pray to God, Our Creator, and Ultimate Authority.
I cried out with no reply,
I can't feel you by my side, so.

I'll hold tight to what I know,
you're here,

and I'm never alone.

When we pray we suppose to pray to our heavenly father ,creator of this universe Jesus Christ. I know some people say they don't feel anything when they pray thats because mostly likely they haven't surrender their heart to the lord. But jesus christ is the one we need to pray to anytime we pray.amen

Prayer is an interesting topic. Personally, I don't believe in prayer. I don't have anyhting against people who do, but I just don't. To me, we go through trials in life, and we have to solve our problems for ourselves. I don't believe that we have someone babysitting us, and answering our "prayers" every time we ask Him/Her for something.
But, that's just me. Nobody else has to feel the same way, and if you disagree with me...well then great(:

I pray to the One True God. He answers my prayers. All the other "gods" have conditions that are unneccessary. God can be reached at any time

When I pray, I call who I pray to "God," although it's not exactly the "One True God" that others have mentioned in their posts. Rather, everything and everyone is a part of this God, including myself. I'm not asking an outside force for help, but something inside myself, something that's inside everyone. This is just what works for me, and if you have a different opinion that works for you, that's perfectly fine.
