I went to college about 16-17 years ago.  I enrolled for my 1st semester, I did not finish that semester, went through a divorce and was young and stupid.  Not sure if I went through the whole withdraw process or just quit.
How is that going to affect me now that I am thinking about going back to college?

many students are struggling to get an admission in a good institutes but worst part is that they are not selected due to one or the other reason so the they have to work hard for it to get selected.

I just learned something important about counselors and deadlines that I'd like to share. If you need your counselor to mail a transcript that's due within the next week and a half, mail it yourself. This guarantees that it will reach its destination on time. I had a week until my transcript was due. My counselor said she mailed it the same day I gave it to her. Unfortunately, I was contacted by admissions weeks later. They informed me that they never received it. So next time I made sure she sealed it and I mailed it myself. I shipped it Priority so it would get there in two days.
