Hello! being just a sophmore, does anyone have any good advice on looking for a college or technical school? any kind of advice is appreciated! thanks!

hmm well from not know your interests and wants and all that good stuff it is kind of hard to give advice.
i would say talking to a teacher in the subject area your interested in always helps, especially if they know you, if they dont, then make yourself known :)
guidence counselors (as annoying as some of them are) do actually help a bit.
then theres the ever trusty friend opinion. ask people you know in colleges about what they think of where they go and what their school offers.
andd also google or a search engine. its how i found out schools that have the major i want

go sophmores!! lol but i'm looking for colleges right now too but i dnt know if its too early or not yet cuz ive been applying for scholarships and like all these colleges keep contacting me now and im like i dnt graduate till 2012..

Hmm, well you should probably ask you science teacher and guidance counselor for suggestions on colleges. That would be a good start. Besides that just search online for what you would like to study in college and it will pop up somewhere online.

  just be your self and choose something that you a good at even if you need a little more help with your career

try and get involved in extracirricular activities and look for opporitunities to volunteer...it may help you to get into NHS and it looks great on college aps that you have a history of volunteering

I agree with the extracurriculars and volunteering. But try not to stuff in too many minor volunteering activities for shorter amounts of time. It's better to have fewer activities but to do it over a course of months, or years. Even better if you can find an activity that you enjoy/are passionate about. Colleges like consistency, and they definitely like passion.
