Hey
I am thinking about college and don't have any final selections.
I want to know what its like to live on a campus, take classes, make friends, join clubs. I want to know what life is like. The trouble is, I don't know what questions to ask.

For all of you college students out there...what questions do you wish you had asked before deciding on your school?
What things did you find out about general college life that you wish you knew before?

For high school students, what's important to you to find out?

I think for me as a high school student, it's most important for me to find out where i intend to go with my life, what i need to major in to get there, and what the colleges of my preference have best to offer for it. i have a very limited option for colleges, because my parents won't let me go far, so my advice is to start with colleges in your area, then fan out if those close to you do not offer what you seek.
also, try to get a major college or university. employers are more responsive to well-known colleges.

as a high school student when i started looking for collges my first prioritie was that they had a music department so that i could continue to be a part of music even if it was just for fun. so i would recomend that you make sure that they have any activites (like sports) that you like and want to contine and make sure that it is a decent program.

as for makng friends..its hard to tell if it will be easy given the school...smaller colleges offer more of an oppotunity to know more people more personally...but if your not social, in larger colleges you can just blend in...as for living on campus..some people like it and some people dont...like me, i love dorm life..but thats only bc i dont need alot of space...im content with a small place. as for other people it just dependes on what you like...
i really wish i had asked more questions about financial aid and scholarships before hooking myself to a certain school and a set amount of financial help...well...thats all i have to say...i hope you find all that ur looking for[:)]
