[font="courier new"]Why does it seem like no matter where we turn,as teenagers in highschool, we end going down a wrong path and making a mistake? But many don't know that there's a way to avoid all of this. The way to avoid making a mistake: Do nothing. That doesn't always seem to help, and probably, in most of our lifetimes, it won't really help anyone out unless you expect to go on with your life and be completely unsuccessful.
We go through highschool with three things in our social life. Drama, lies, and tears. They are inevitable. Not one teenager in highschool can honestly say 1. I haven't been through any drama. 2. I haven't lied or been lied to. or 3. Noone at the school has cried.
You start out as a freshman, I'm sure everyone remembers that day: Walking through the doors of the school, after hearing pleanty of stories about the teachers or classes from older friends or siblings, not knowing what to expect. But I think we all expect one thing out of our highschool career if nothing else: Drama.
Highschool, it's all about drama and gossip. Who's doing what.Where someone got something. She did this. He did that. Who's dating who. Who hates who, and the list goes on. We go through a year or two not wanting half of the drama that we let come into our lives in the first place. The question that's left in the end when you look back on it: Why did I put myself into that? Drama is always going to be there. It was there when the first school was started and it will be there till the last school ends. We don't need to listen to all the gossip because it leads to drama.
The next thing no highschool can go without. . .:Lies. Oh boy. Even though you don't want to believe it. Eveyone eventually does lie in their highschool career. At one time or another, your best friend will turn on you and lie behind your back and you will get in a fight. Lying never passed up anyone and it will never pass up anyone. Many lies float throughout the school. Wether it be a small and not so hurtful lie, or a HUGE life changing lie, all lies aren't important and you can usually tell a lie from the truth. Most of the time. So you may think: Wow, I can't trust anyone now. But that isn't true. You have to trust people to be able to get through highschool.
That brings me to the next topic: Tears. Everyone cries. Noone is 'too old to cry.' In highschool is probably one of the times that you cry the most. You deal with a lot of things and you grow up in highschool. Many people lose friends or family members. Some get pregnant. Others just break up with boyfriends or girlfriends. This is something I can truly relate to. I mean sure everyone can. And I can relate to drama and lies too, but this more than the others. This year has been really hectic. Many people go through a lot of what I went through, but not all in the same year. I've lost friends to suicide. [About 5 friends] And some to carwrecks. [About 3 friends] Other friends of mine have been injured in carwrecks. [About two of them] But it was a lot of tears. Advice on this: Things will happen, people will die, but they will always live on forever in your heart and you can't soley dwell on the fact that they are gone, but remember all the great things they did in their lifetime and all the great times you had. Another thing that would bring tears in highschool would be break-ups or pregnancies. One thing you have to remember: No guy or girl is worth losing things over. No guy or girl is worth argueing with your friends about. And if a guy or girl wants to make you cry, they don't deserve being with you in the first place.
Even though these things are always there no matter what, you can always look forward to something in highschool. The great memories to look back on. The laughter you share with your friends. Just keep that in mind and your happiness will out weigh the saddness.[/font]

These three things are inevitable and will always run the lives of the teenagers at a highschool. Even though they are hard to ignore or pass up, there are ways. Noone has really figuered out a way yet, but intill they do...just live with the phrase:
Drama, Lies and Tears. Cheers: To the Teenage years!!!
