Infant, Toddler, Child, Adolesant, Teen, Adult.

Stages of life. The hardest being Teen. When you are a teen you do so much growing up it's hard to control. It isn't easy being a teenager in highschool, and noone ever promised that it would be. There are lots and lots of obstacles that we as teens face.

Trusting people. It's always been a huge issue with me. I don't know why but I've always had a problem trusting people. I've trusted two people the most in my whole life. They both ended up killing themselves.

A few years ago, things in my life had been getting pretty rough. I was always told that drugs were bad, drugs were always a last resort, BUT NEVER MEANT TO BE USED AS A RESORT. So I thought...'Hey, I'm never going to stoop that low and have so many problems that I'm going to use drugs.' I went and turned to something even stupider. Self destruction.

Many people thought that I was a cool person. That I had nothing going wrong in my life, but oh were they ever so wrong. It was crazy. I hid it so well now that I look back on it. My two best friends were always there for me though, when I thought that noone else would be. They stopped my bad habit and they stopped me from commiting suicide many times.

I was always told that they were always going to be there for me. That they would never leave me or hurt me. This year I helped them through some stuff. Both of them, but in the end both of them killed themselves.

So when you think you have noone else to trust...where else can you turn to?

You've given me some great advice on my friend. Now it's my turn: I've been through a lot over the past year, and only one thing I've found that stays the same is my faith in Christ to lead me through it. HE is the One Who sent me my guy friend right when I prayed for someone to help me get over the utter desolation I felt over my betraying ex-boyfriend. I know the situations are different, but take it from someone who's been in some pretty rough waters: If you're going to step out of the boat, make sure you've got Someone to focus on. Otherwise, life is impossible to survive.

Please please PLEASE don't give up! I felt the same thing SO many times. I just thought to myself "How is this helping? God's silent when I pray for answers." It was just making me feel even MORE down. Then my youth group did an eight week study devotion from a book called Broken: When Life Falls Apart. It explained everything to me. I realized the silence was only there to heighten my faith. And you know what? I was so peaceful after that. I HIGHLY recommend that book if you feel like there's nothing else. It's only like ten dollars, but I PROMISE it is worth $100!!!
Praying for you,
