Scholarship: Excellence in Education
Amount: Free tuition (equivalent to NYS tuition rate), room (standard room, double occupancy) and board (choice of meal plan)
Award details: Multiple scholarships available; students must possess a 93 or better high school average through their junior year; at least 1200 (critical reading and math) combined SAT or 26 composite ACT score is required and students must apply for financial aid with any TAP award being applied toward the cost of tuition. Students must maintain required GPA to continue to receive funding in subsequent semesters.

Scholarship: Presidential Scholarship
Amount: $6,650
Award details: Multiple scholarships available. Free room (standard room, double occupancy); students must possess a 90 or better high school average through their junior year; at least an 1150 (critical reading and math) combined SAT or 25 composite ACT score is required; must maintain required GPA to continue to receive free room in subsequent semesters.

Scholarship: All-American Scholarship
Amount: $4,510
Award details: Free board (choice of meal plan); multiple scholarships available; students must possess an 88 or better high school average through their junior year; at least a 1100 (critical reading and math) combined SAT or 24 composite ACT score is required; must maintain required GPA to continue to receive free board in subsequent semesters.

Award details: Consideration is automatic when students apply; students usually rank in the top 25% of their class and have SAT/ACT scores consistent with their academic performance.

Award details: Recognizes academic excellence, outstanding leadership and community and volunteer service. A limited number are awarded to top entering freshmen in the applicant pool each year. Award details: Recognizes academic excellence, outstanding leadership and community and volunteer service. A limited number are awarded to top entering freshmen in the applicant pool each year. High school seniors are considered and evaluated for the award on the basis of grades, class rank, SAT/ACT scores and leadership in school and community.

Scholarship: Distinguished Scholarship
Amount: Up to $21,000 annually
Award details: Recognizes academic excellence, outstanding leadership, and community and volunteer service. High school seniors are evaluated on the basis of their grades, SAT/ACT scores, types of coursework taken, high school rank and involvement. There is not a separate application for these awards. All students that apply for full-time admission will be considered. Transfer students are evaluated on the basis of their cumulative GPA and coursework.

Scholarship: Achievement Award
Amount: Up to $12,000 annually
Award details: This award recognizes exceptional participation in school activities, community service, volunteer work or special talents. Additionally, prospective Fine Arts majors may receive an Achievement Award based on the quality of their portfolio review and prospective B.F.A. in Acting majors may receive one based on their audition.

Award details: Students must have a GPA of 80 or 2.5; Established by Mike Briggs ’63, to help attract high caliber, well-rounded students to MVCC. Award details: Students must be in the top 10% of their class; A limited number of full-tuition scholarships are awarded annually to students graduating in the top 10% of their class from accredited New York State public or private high schools located outside Oneida County. Recipients may receive the award for four consecutive terms, less financial aid, provided they maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Scholarship: Catskill Scholarship
Amount: $4,000
Award details: Award for freshmen students who have shown exceptional academic ability and who demonstrate financial need.  Students are encouraged to complete their FAFSA as soon after January 1st as possible to be considered for this award.

Scholarship: Deans Scholarship
Amount: $3,000
Award details: Award for freshmen students who have shown exceptional academic ability.  Preference will be given to students presenting the following:  94 cumulative high school GPA, 1180 SAT (Critical Reading & Math scores only), 26 ACT composite.

Amount: $2,000

Scholarship: Henry Wells Scholarships
Amount: A Henry Wells Scholarship includes a guaranteed first-year internship during Wells' January Intersession, a $3,000 stipend to spend on an internship in your sophomore, junior, or senior year, and a $15,000 to $25,000 scholarship each year.
Award details: Henry Wells Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement throughout their high school experience.  Recipients are selected by the Admissions Committee and generally have a 94% cumulative grade point average in academic subject areas.

Scholarship: Presidential Scholarships
Amount: $10,000 and $20,000 per year for four years of study at the College.
Award details: Awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence in high school with a cumulative grade point average of 90% or higher and a strong record of service to their schools and communities.  The Admissions Committee selects receipients at the time of admissions based on information supplied in the application file.

Scholarship: Dean's Awards
Amount: $10,000 to $15,000 per year
Award details: Students with strong academic records and active participation in clubs and organizations within their schools and communities.

Scholarship: Thriving on Change Scholarships
Amount: $10,000 scholarships (valued at $2,500 per year).
Award details: Awarded to admitted students who submit a 500 to 1000 word essay that describes a life-changing event or a contribution they have made to create change within their communities.

Scholarship: Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships
Amount: $15,000 per year
Award details: Awarded to transfer students who are members of this two-year college honor society.

Scholarship: Transfer Scholarships
Amount: $10,000 to $15,000 per year
Award details: Awarded to students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their college coursework.  Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better to qualify.

Amount: $34,000 scholarship over four years ($8,500 annually) for students living on campus; $18,000 scholarship over four years ($4,500 annually) for commuting students.
Award details: SAT critical reading and math 1250 or greater (28 ACT composite, with required writing); or cumulative GPA 4.0 or greater and SAT critical reading and math 1150 or greater (25 ACT composite, with required writing). Awarded to first-time, full-time freshmen for up to four years (eight full-time semesters, excluding summers, toward one undergraduate degree) and renewed to students maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0.  One half of the scholarship will be awarded with a grade point average of 2.75-2.99.

Scholarship: Dean's Academic Scholarship
Amount: $26,000 scholarship over four years ($6,500 annually) for students living on campus; $10,000 scholarship over four years ($2,500 annually) for commuting students.
Award details: Eligible students must have been enrolled full-time at their most recently attended regionally accredited institution with a 3.3 earned GPA or greater; or membership in Phi Theta Kappa.  Scholarships will be awarded for up to three years (six full-time semesters, excluding summers, toward one undergraduate degree) and renewed to students maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0.  One half of the scholarship will be awarded with a grade point average of 2.75-2.99.
