For student Alex Johnston it’s difficult to give only one example of how academic guidance counselor Scott Sberna has helped her with college planning.
“In my four years at Bishop Kenny and countless meetings with Mr. Sberna, I have never once noticed him to have anything but an optimistic and uplifting personality — a spirit that he passes on to anyone he is around. It is obvious that he loves his job and doing all he can to help high school students strive for success,” says student Alex Johnston.
Sberna’s efforts are proactive and over arching. Despite a busy schedule and daily duties to contend with, he is at every college planning event or financial aid seminar as a resource for students.
“My school counselor is super because of his positive attitude, patience, and unselfish spirit,” Alex says. “I believe he should be recognized for all that he has done for our school, his outlook on life, and the support he has provided for many students.”
