Academic Life

Small classes allow students to work with professors on a one-on-one basis.  You will learn from the best at Daemen.  Our faculty members come from institutions such as Harvard, Oxford, Berkley, University at Buffalo, and the Yale University of Medicine. Career Services, in collaboration with the faculty, provide students with the resources, skills, experiential opportunities, and support to prepare them to achieve their career goals.

Campus Life

Students enjoy intercollegiate athletics, intramurals, and over 50 clubs and organizations. On campus, the modern apartment-style residence halls provide separate housing for male and female students in addition to the existing five-story residence hall. A popular hangout is the Research and Information Commons, which houses a full-service library, RIC’s Daily Grind, individual study rooms, the Academic Computing Center, and plenty of comfortable state-of-the-art amenities to enhance the study experience.

Facilities and Resources

Located in Amherst, NY  -- the College is just a 15-minute drive from metro Buffalo or Niagara Falls. There is convenient parking on the 39-acre campus and easily accessible public transportation. Other amenities: State-of-the-art computer laboratories, free Internet access, etc.

Athletics / Sports

Daemen Athletics is a NCAA Division II member of the East Coast Conference. Wildcat Athletics sponsors 16 teams including: men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, track and field (indoor & outdoor), men’s golf, and women’s volleyball, bowling and triathlon. Daemen Athletics is committed to building championship-caliber teams and providing recreation and intramural programs for all students. Scholarships available.

Financial Aid / Tuition

At Daemen College a private school is within your reach! The cost of your Daemen education can compare to the cost of a public university. Over 94% of our full–time undergraduate students receive some type of financial assistance. We create individualized financial aid packages for you. Our generous scholarships make attending Daemen very affordable. We offer merit scholarships based on a student’s academic and leadership achievement. Just by applying and being accepted to Daemen, a student may qualify for one of the following scholarships.

President’s Scholarship: up to $12,500

Dean’s Scholarship: up to $9,500

Alumni Grant: up to $8,000

Trustee Scholarship: (By nomination.) (2) Full-tuition, (4) $17,000 awards and (6) $13,000-14,000 awards.

Visual Arts Scholarship: $5,000 (2)

Admission

Daemen offers a rolling admissions policy. The average student enrolled has a 91 GPA and 1060 SAT. We also have a “test optional” policy which provides you with a choice regarding the submission of standardized test scores.
